Greetings family,
Hope everyone is in good health and staying safe. We just celebrated our 27th annual reunion in July in Fort Wayne, Indiana and I must say this was one of the best.
It was a 4-day event that started with a paint-n-sip party that was so enjoyable.
The next day there was time to check out the city, go kayaking, ride scooters, among other things the city had to offer. Later was the reception which gave us all a newfound discovery in our family history. (Make sure to check out the Documentary (part 2) in the Family History section).
We also came together to bond and love on our young cousins who were still morning the loss of their mother, Alfreda Moore. I really feel it helped us all as family to be together to reflect and pray as we have lost 5 family members in the last 2 years who were a big part of these reunions. I know it was not easy, but everyone persevered very well.
Saturday was a ball, all the families really had a chance to interact and spend a good amount of time together all day at the picnic playing games, competing in races, eating all kinds of foods and of course, the annual auction. There was a touching, moving tribute to all our deceased loved ones with a balloon(s) release. Later everyone chilled and relaxed at the hotel in our adult lounge with some adult beverages or some went swimming, and some found their own entertainment.
Sunday was breakfast, reflections, good stories, and good-byes. All-n-all it was a great time had by everyone.
